Welcome to all students, parents and friends. We are very proud of Omiros College and we know you will learn a great deal about our School from this Handbook. Inside you will find information about our School philosophy, our high-quality programs, curriculum, our staff and what students are taught at each grade level.

This year, we will continue our focus on engaging our students in authentic, real-life educational activities. Empasis is also placed on maximising students potential as one of the most important ingredients for success in learning Greek. Our students supply the motivation to work hard and the staff teach them the strategies to work smarter and achieve better results.

Omiros students are exposed to a number of exciting learning experiences and are able to perform to the best of their abilities. This is evident from the results shown from our assessment and evaluation strategies and from students' increased enthusiasm towards learning Greek.

Our VCE Greek students obtain high marks achieving great results. A key purpose in the future must be to continue providing passion and pride in learning Greek at Omiros College, through the highest quality and flexible provision of education.

Omiros College has reached a number of milestones. The "three year old stars" who participate in our Preschool Program, have turned our vision into reality. The educational trips to Greece have opened a new pathway in the area of Greek language learning.

Our participation in the establishment of the first Greek Language class in China, at Beijing Foreign Studies University, is a great honour to the College. The personal contribution made by my wife Matoula, the Vice Principal of Omiros, in a success for Hellenism.

I hope that the new year will bring everyone good health, personal and family happiness. May this year also be a peaceful one filled with success and prosperity for the whole of humanity.
