School Trip To Greece 2008

Omiros College in association with the Greek Government is offering a three-week unique educational trip to Greece. Students have the opportunity to develop their language skills through educational programs and foster their appreciation of Greek culture.


Students will enjoy twenty days at Camp Lotofagi in Agriana Hersonissou, near Heraklion Crete. The camp is chaperoned and the children are looked after to the full extent. Students will also spend two nights in Athens staying at the Presidential Palace.


The program involves a variety of new experiences in a safe and happy environment:
- Develop Greek language skills
- Forge new friendships
- Participate in excursions
- Spend two nights in Athens at the Presidential Palace
- Visit the Acropolis, Museums, Monastiraki, Plaka, Parliament House,
  the Olympic Stadium plus more

Camp Lotofagi

Lotofagi is a village camp situated in Agriana Hersonissou, near Heraklion, the capital of Crete. Students will enjoy 20 days at Camp Lotofagi and participate in a variety of activities:
- Greek language lessons
- Greek dancing lessons
- Pony rides
- Kayaking
- Hiking
- Swimming


Finely designed little houses and wooden beds await the children to get their rest. Three delicious meals are served a day with snacks in- between. Various fun-filled activities run each night.  For more information on the campsite see: www.lotofagi.gr


Age Groups

The trip will include two groups, each containing 20 students.

- First group: 8 and under 12 years

- Second group: 12 and under 18 years


Cost

- First group: $1,295.00

- Second group: $2,335.00


The Greek Government is subsidising part of this trip. The cost includes all travelling expenses, accommodation, meals, educational program, excursions and administration costs as well as two nights in Athens at the President Hotel.
